Board Secretary

Amie is a civil engineer who calls the community of Fort McMurray, Alberta home.

She was born and lived several years of her childhood in Southeast Asia, and has lived in various cities across Western Canada, obtaining her Engineering degree from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. She has over 10‑years of experience working in both local government and as an engineering consultant. 

Amie’s focus is helping communities through the lens of municipal infrastructure, with expertise ranging from asset planning through to design and construction of a wide variety of civil works. 

Amie is sought after for leadership and coordination of multi-disciplinary project teams, and has successfully managed multiple high-impact, politically relevant projects. Her experience also includes work on corporate strategy and governance advisory with various organizations and clients. 

Amie believes that creating and facilitating opportunities for youth to be involved in STEM is an essential part of the growth and development of our communities for the future.
