Lead Ambassador, Wood Buffalo
Chelsey Goodwin grew up in the Fort McMurray area and studied chemical engineering at the University of Alberta.

Growing up in Fort McMurray, my interest in science was sparked by mentors from the extracurricular activities and internships I participated in. This lead me to study chemical engineering at the University of Alberta, and summer student work terms in Fort McMurray encouraged my interest in the Oil Sands.
After graduation I joined Suncor as an E.I.T. in process engineering teams where I have supported Baseplant operations in areas such as Upgrading and Treated Tailings. I have always enjoyed giving back to my community through volunteering, and when I retired home after university I was excited to learn about BrainSTEM Alliance.
The first program I volunteered with was the Girls Inc SMART program, and it has been amazing to see how BrainSTEM has grown in our community since.
