Our Team
All of our directors, ambassadors and regional leads have training and experience in the areas of engineering, education or entrepreneurship. As a team, we call on experiences from an array of backgrounds to develop programming and strategic planning that suite the needs of any institution or organization.

Our founder and managing director, D’Andre Wilson-Ihejirika, is originally from Nassau, Bahamas. She moved to Canada in 2006 to pursue a degree in Chemical Engineering from McGill University, then went on to receive a Master’s of Applied Science from the Centre for Management of Technology and Entrepreneurship at the University of Toronto.
Adedoyin (Doyin) moved to Canada from Lagos in 2007 to study Chemical Engineering at McMaster University.
Gillian was born and raised in the small town of High River, Alberta. She moved to Edmonton in 2002 to pursue a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alberta.

Originally from Nigeria, Somto Ibe completed her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Ottawa.
Shefaza is currently a PhD Candidate in SERS (School of Environment, Resources, and Sustainability) in the Faculty of Environment at the University of Waterloo.
Amie is a civil engineer who calls the community of Fort McMurray, Alberta home.
Jordan Ratzlaff is originally from Edmonton, Alberta. Jordan graduated from the University of Alberta in 2012 with a degree in Chemical Engineering.
Loree D’Orsay is a Professional Chemical Engineer who teaches Engineering at Cape Breton University, primarily courses in the fields of Petroleum and Environmental Engineering.
Milanyila Vargas is a Communication, Marketing and Economic Development Specialist with an extensive background in international business expansion.

SETT stands for Science, Engineering, Technology and Trades. This initiative to help under-represented youth, like girls, get ‘set up for success’ by introducing them to career opportunities in those fields.
Based on the Novel Engineering program by the Tufts University Center for Engineering Education and Outreach, the READesign initiative combines literacy education with STEM education.
STEMtrepreneur combines STEM and entrepreneurship to inspire innovation!
U-can code! Coding and computational theory can seem daunting to many but the Comp-U-Can initiative makes learning the basics of coding easy.
STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, arts and math and looks at the intersection of the Arts with STEM to spark creativity.
EnviroSTEM is all about learning how STEM interacts with our natural environment and how we can make this world a better place with STEM!
