Case Study

The Careers in STEM conferences, both virtual and in-person, showcased successful women from various STEM industries sharing their journeys, challenges and career advice in the hopes of inspiring the future of women in STEM. The program successfully ran virtual conferences in both 2020-2024, attracting participants from grades 8 to 12. Through recordings, posters, and interactive sessions, the initiative provided role models, resources, and inspiration for the next generation of women in STEM.

The program continues to thrive, and through all these years, female STEM volunteers have been at the heart of it, mentoring and inspiring the next generation of women engineers and scientists. Their contributions made it clear that diversity and representation in STEM are key. These programs have not only sparked interest in STEM, but also built skills like confidence, creativity, and collaboration. The girls learned to tackle challenges head-on, work together, and see themselves in STEM careers—all thanks to the guidance of amazing volunteers.
