In Winter 2017-2018, we partnered with the YWCA Regina Girls Space to host STEM sessions that we called Girls STEM Space. These were drop in sessions open to girls aged 12-16 and hosted by BrainSTEM Ambassador Funke Omole.

The program hosted 3 sessions in different STEM disciplines, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. The girls heard from civil engineer Zuri and learned about building stable structures and incorporating strong shapes like triangles.
