As a part of our EnviroSTEM initiative we hosted our first ever virtual Biomimicry weekend on October 17th and 18th, combining environmental science and innovation! The session had over 40 registered participants from all across Canada as well the USA and UK and other parts of the globe.

The annual summer camp in collaboration with Island WISE at Cape Breton University went virtual this year. This free camp is held annually and targets girls aged 9-11 to promote STEAM. The camp took place over three days and hosted 13 girls virtually with 8 volunteers over the 3 days.

Earlier this year, for Black History Month and Women’s History Month, we did a series of sessions with Frontlines Toronto Community Centre as a part of their Roots & STEM program, aimed at helping Black youth understand their place in STEM.
